Our Design and Technology students had a great success at the Moomba Birdman Festival in Melbourne over the weekend.

They worked well as a team to assemble and launch their aircraft. They had to overcome many challenges as part of this project and co-ordinated with the Sport Aircraft Association of Australia and the miniature aero club of Parkes to learn as much as possible about aeronautical design and construction.

Students had many photographs taken of them and conducted interviews with media giving them the opportunity to fine tune their social skills.

As part of this project students had to raise money for charity, we selected JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) as our charity and raised in excess of $1250. We would like to thank all those who have contributed to this project and made it a success.
