Last Thursday, 6 students from Year 5 and 6 had the privilege of participating in Eco Day. The day was organised by Landcare and held at the Central West Livestock Exchange.

Ashlee Unger, Daniel Applebee, Isaac Mitchell, Nate Francis, Libby Pepper and Flynn Burgess were all representatives of our school and did a fine job actively participating in a range of hands on activities. From worm farming to tree planting, all students greatly enjoyed the opportunity to find out more about caring for our environment and being good stewards of what God has entrusted us with.

The highlight of the day was the chance to get up close and personal with some serious snakes! The students got to see a range of snakes including a Taipan, Brown, Tiger and Death Adder! Things got really cosy when the pythons were brought out and draped all over the students! Ashlee Unger made particularly good friends with a large python who didn’t seem to want to say goodbye!

It was a brilliant day, well organised and extremely worthwhile.
