Our first social and fundraising event for Term 3, a fantastic Trivia Night was held on Saturday 19th August. The P & F would like to thank Mr Greg Ballantyne for the hard work he put in preparing for the evening and the wonderful job he did in hosting a great night. Around 80 parents, friends and community members joined together to test our trivia knowledge. As well as being a great night out we were pleased to have raised $770, for the on going work of the P & F. A huge thank you to everyone who came on the night and made this into such a successful evening. The P & F won’t be holding any hot food days this term as other groups within the school have some planned.

We are looking forward to our next big event, a community bush dance on Saturday 16th September, 6:30 pm for a 7:00 pm start, in the School Hall. We are very fortunate to have secured a local bush band to come and play for us. There will be prizes for best dressed in a variety of categories. Bush dances can be enjoyed by people of all ages, so invite your friends, your family and your neighbours and come out to the school for a great night. More details about the bush dance will be coming soon. Keep an eye on Facebook!

At our next P & F meeting, we will be discussing dates for next year’s Spring Fair and begin the preparation for that event – our major biennial fundraiser. Other matters to be discussed will include events for Term 4 and Term 1 next year; including book covering fundraiser, Christmas Street Parade and Elvis Festival and Class Parent Representatives.

If you would like to have your say about these or any other P & F matters, please come along to our next meeting on Thursday 21st September at 7 pm in the School Hall.

Thank you,

Mrs Jacquelyn Greenland
P&F President
