Pie Drive

Attached to this newsletter is a copy of the pie drive order form. With the pies arriving at the beginning of June, this is a quick way of filling your freezer with hearty winter stock and supporting the school as well.

2018 Spring Fair

Planning is well underway for the biennial Spring Fair, which is scheduled for the 15th of September.

The P and F and staff of PCS will be running a number of stalls, including a cake stall, white elephant, tombola, BBQ and plant stall. There will be a variety of games such as knock ‘m downs, coin toss and jaffa smash. The P and F are also in the process of organising a number of special items for the day and we will keep you posted as these are locked in.

Our student’s gifts and talents will be on display with a static creative art display, displays of major works and through a number of musical items.

As well as the stalls run by the staff, volunteers and P and F, we would love to have a variety of stalls from the community. If you are a market stall holder and you would like to operate a site at the PCS Spring Fair, please call into our school office to pick up an application form. Non-powered sites will be available for as little as $30. Powered sites will also be available. Stallholders will need to have their own insurance. We are inviting families of PCS, before opening our application process to the general public, so if you want to run your own stall at the fair, get in quick.

We would, of course, love all the help we can get to plan, prepare, set up, man stalls and even pack up on the day. You can volunteer either through the school office, talking to a P and F member, or through your classroom teachers.

We are holding an auction at the fair again this year. If you are in a position to donate or source goods that could be auctioned we would greatly appreciate your support.

If you are a gardener it is time to start potting. If you have lemons to spare we would really appreciate them, for Miss Oates business studies class lemonade stand.

Our next P and F meeting will be held on Thursday 15th March in the staffroom. All parents and friends of PCS are invited to attend.
