Welcome back to another school term. It is a busy one for the P & F with lots of exciting things happening, including the release of “Dish it up” our first cookbook and of course the Spring Fair.

Thank you to everyone who contributed recipes to PCS’ first cookbook “Dish it up”. With around 150 recipes from cakes and slices, soups, mains, desserts and international foods, there is something for everyone. We are looking forward to seeing the finished product, which will be on sale very soon.

Spring Fair

The countdown is on!! We have only six weeks left until our biennial Spring Fair. With so much on offer, it is going to be a wonderful day!

Have you ever wanted to be part of a World Record – this is your opportunity!

Are you a baker? We would love to see your culinary expertise for sale at our cake stall, or you could just come and buy someone else’s beautiful baking!

Perhaps you have a green thumb. All donations to our plant stall will be gratefully accepted.

Are you a connoisseur of the fine arts? Spend some time in our school art exhibition which will be held in the hall. Student artworks will be available to purchase (by their family) and we will again feature some work from the Parkes Painters Group which will also be on sale.

Don’t forget we will be holding an auction, which will have some wonderful items up for grabs.

We will also be hearing from a number of performing groups from across the school and in the wider community, including the K-2 choir and Twinkle Toes Dance Studio.

On the day there will be something for everyone. With biscuit decorating, sponge throwing, tombola and games for the children, the art exhibition, performances and wonderful food stalls, just to name a few. Invite your friends, families and neighbours for a great day out.

If you can help in any way, in the lead up to the Spring Fair or assisting on the day, please contact the school office.

Spring Fair art and craft competition:

Mrs King is inviting all primary and high school students to engage with their creative side to produce wonderful artworks for this year’s Spring Fair Art and Craft Competition. The theme this year is GOD’S CREATION. You can paint, you can draw, you can sculpt, in fact, you can use any medium you like to make an amazing artwork with the theme of God’s Creation in mind. There will be some great prizes on offer. More information about this competition will be out soon, so get your thinking caps on and get creative.
