Students (and teachers!) had a fantastic time at the annual OnStage Excursion last week. We listened to stage and costume designer Isabel Hudson in a fantastic forum, where she explained her process and showed us her work. We followed this up with a devising workshop at Belvoir St Theatre, teaming up with some other school to explore the idea of working collaboratively and the power this has on creativity. This was tested straight away when we went girls against boys in an escape room at Second Telling Missions in Newtown.
On Friday we were all challenged and inspired by the amazing quality of work from 2018 Drama students at OnStage at the Seymour Centre. The group, individual performances, films and design projects showed as just what young people are capable of when they set their minds to it – I look forward to seeing what the creative bunch at PCS can do now!
