Our school is looking to fill the following positions for 2019:

Accounts Officer (Part-time)

Starting Date: 12 September 2019 – some flexibility possible

Position Description

The Accounts Officer is responsible to the Business Manager for the administration of the student fee billing, the general ledger reconciliations, accounts payable and fixed asset system. A secondary role is to be the backup for processing pays.

This position is required to have the accounting experience and knowledge to operate with minimal supervision. A Diploma in Accounting or equivalent experience is essential.

This position is 22.8 hours per week part-time, which must be worked within school term time. The exception to this is the first 2 weeks in January before school commences which are required to be worked. This is a Level 4 Position in the NSW Christian Schools General Staff MEA 2017-2019.

Core Responsibilities:

Accounting
* Accounts Receivable: the accurate accounting for all income into the school including; school fees, government grants, operating income and capital donations
* Develop an expert knowledge in the Student Management and Billing System
* Take the lead in processing school fees direct debits
* In consultation with the Business Manager, the implementation of bursaries and fee relief for debtors
* In consultation with the Business Manager, the initial follow up of school fee debtors
* Accounts Payable: the timely processing of creditors and preparing payments for approval by others
* Reconciliation of General Ledger accounts monthly, quarterly and annually
* Maintaining the assets register and processing depreciation
* Preparation of the BAS and IAS under the direction of the Business Manager

Human Resources
* Be able to back up in the preparation of payroll and management of staff time sheets
* The maintenance of staff entitlements including, sick leave, maternity leave, annual leave and long service leave

STAGE 4 – 6 PDHPE Teacher (Full-time)

 Term 4, Week 6, 2019 Start

Position Description

Parkes Christian School is seeking a motivated, energetic PDHPE teacher with a growth mindset and the ability to work in a collaborative environment. Our High School is dynamic and uses a range of digital technology to engage the students and make learning relevant for our students. We want a PDHPE teacher whose passion for the subject is clear to everyone who walks into their classroom and onto the sporting oval. 

Must be able to participate in curriculum planning and development, value the role of data in developing quality teaching practice, and be prepared to think outside the square.

The position is suitable for all levels of experience, however the successful applicant will also need to fill the role of Sports Coordinator. Please note that relocation subsidies are available if applicable.

K-6 Primary Teacher (full-time)
