Todd Woodbridge Cup in Sydney (Yrs 3/4 Team)
Yr 3/4 Players representing our school in the Todd Woodbridge cup on Monday 14 November.
I have attached information regarding the parking and there is some additional information that I need to share with you all.
1 Wet weather
While we are experiencing worse weather than Sydney, the organisers need to make sure there is a wet weather plan in place. Fortunately they have booked an indoor venue which is a 5 minute walk from Tennis World Sydney Olympic Park. They will make a call on wet weather in the morning of the event at approximately 7.45am
2 Food and beverages
The Tennis World Pro Shop and Café will be open on site offering coffee, cold drinks and snacks. There will also be a food truck on site serving hot food as a lunch option for people to purchase. Players (and their entourage) are of course welcome to bring their own food and drink.
3 Player Equipment
In regards to tennis equipment, players are encouraged to bring their own racquet (PLEASE NOTE Competition regulations stipulate that adult racquets cannot be used but junior racquets that are 25 inches or less are permitted for this event). Hats, sunscreen, water and snacks are also recommended. If any student requires one of the racquets we have at school, please let me know and I will bring some with me. As far as representing the school, please wear full sports uniform.
4 Sunday BBQ
This is NOT a compulsory event, but something the organisers have put on as there are other teams coming from outside the Sydney metropolitan area. This is a FREE event from 4pm-7pm on Sunday 13th November at Sydney Olympic Park. There will be music, barbeque and some courts, balls and racquets available for a practice before the main event the following day. To assist with catering I need to RSVP, so please reply to this email before FRIDAY morning whether you are coming or not. I will be attending but it is perfectly okay if you choose to do something else on the Sunday afternoon (some of you may still be travelling anyway)
Lastly, Todd Woodbridge will be present on the day and may be doing autographs so bring an item you wish to get signed just in case he does do autographs (the organisers haven’t indicated if he will or not)
If you have any questions please contact Mr Fredericks at [email protected]
