Teacher Librarian K-12 (Full-time, permanent)
Commencing Term 4, 2024 (flexible)
Position Description
The Teacher Librarian is an important role in supporting teaching and learning at Parkes Christian School. Overseeing Library collection and library services, the successful applicant should be innovative and enthusiastic, with the experience and ability to creatively lead and manage the operations, resources and programs of both the Primary and Secondary Libraries. The Teacher Librarian is required to promote literature appreciation, research skills and ensure the effective delivery of information services. They will support staff to nurture and develop empowered learners who are reflective, relational, resilient and resourceful.
Selection Criteria:
- A committed Christian who is active in their local church
- Appropriate teaching / library qualifications
- High level of administrative skills
- Experience in overseeing Library collections
- Experience and passion for literature promotion and appreciation
- Experience with Oliver Library Systems is preferred
- Willingness to support ICT logistics
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, staff and parents across a K-12 environment
- Organised, meets deadlines and demonstrates excellent communication skills
- Willingness to uphold the vision and ethos of Parkes Christian School
- Current NSW Working With Children’s Check
