Students required for Rehearsals are the following;

Please refer to CHARACTER name when looking to see if you are needed at a rehearsal
Students who miss rehearsals without good reason and advance notice may not be allowed to perform


Term 1 Expectations

• Rehearsals will predominantly involve speaking cast members
• We will focus on reading through large portions of the script and moved readings on stage in order to:
  • familiarise all actors with the story/character relationships
  • develop characterisation
  • block scenes on the stage
• Students will not be expected to immediately have their lines learnt but should:
  • be familiar with their lines
  • have identified and practised words/phrases they are unfamiliar with
  • show evidence of learning lines

Please note, unless otherwise stated: 

• rehearsals will be in the school hall
• rehearsals start at 3.25pm SHARP. Students need to be ready to begin (changed clothes, eaten food, etc) at this time
• rehearsals will conclude at 5.30pm unless otherwise noted
• Miss Harris and at least one other staff member will be present

Students should bring:

• their script (asking for a spare script at the start of a rehearsal delays the start and is inconvenient for all involved) and a pencil
• water and afternoon tea snacks
• change of clothes (for comfort and movement in rehearsal)

Parents Please Note:

• please collect Primary students from the Hall
• please ensure that if there is a rehearsal that a student is unable to attend that you contact Miss Harris in advance (this is for consideration of both Miss Harris, and other students and families who are attending)
