Sydney Excursion with Year 12

Our Year 12 class enjoyed a fabulous three day excursion in Sydney last week. With the end of their school years fast approaching, they were able to spend some time together and get a number of valuable insights into life after school. There were also some fun activities, because… life should be fun!

Miss Harris, Mr Brown and Mr Wynstra enjoyed spending time with the students who were a credit to themselves and the school throughout the entire trip.

Students were able to learn about important social issues and the value of having a servant heart by visiting the Jewish Museum, helping in a Salvation Army Kitchen and visiting the Freedom Cafe.

They were then able to bond and have some fun while go-karting, completing a high ropes course and taking part in a Hunt around the inner city in which students worked in teams to find clues and obscure locations from cryptic clues.

The excursion was rounded out by a visit to Macquarie University where students were able to see the lecture theatres in action and get a taste of university life.

We are sure that the excursion was very valuable and enjoyable, and our Year 11 students will have a similar experience in Term 4 of this year following the HSC exams.
