The last term has been all about problem solving in Year 7 Digital Technologies and Stage 6 Information Technology and Processes. The problem solving process involves defining the problem, researching and preparing a solution, trying the solution, and then reflecting on what worked and didn’t. The Year 7’s have explored solving problems by looking at designing phone apps, creating an app pitch and designing a poster to showcase their ideas.
The Senior IPT class, through learning about the information processes, were put to the task of designing information systems to help solve the problem for their fictional business in trading online. Part of the task saw them create a website for their business, demonstrating their problem solving skills and their ability to use various methods of data processing
