Transformations

If you have visited PCS lately you would have noticed some physical changes to the landscape. A tennis court and retaining wall have been built, gardens cleared, new hedges and trees planted, fences pulled down, and that’s just the beginning. We are still to extend the current car park to double our capacity, build a new boundary fence and formal entry to the school, as well as new pathways. All the while we are continuing to prepare our new block of land for Agriculture programs and future High School facilities. What a productive time it has been and will continue to be in the months ahead.

We have been so blessed by our school community as we have engaged in these projects. To the businesses connected to PCS who have been generous with their availability, time and resources, to the volunteer army of parents, teachers and students, we could not have done it without you. As we look ahead to continue with key projects, I am thanking all of you for your ongoing support.

I want all of you to know that these projects are not happening by chance. As a school we are always purposeful with where we focus our resources and efforts. For a long time PCS has been working extremely hard on delivering student outcomes as best we can, with excellent progress being made. From Kindergarten to Year 12, our core business is teaching and teaching well. Over the last few years there has been much work behind the scenes in these areas. Naturally, a lot of this work is unseen by the parent community, however the fruits should be evident in the progress of our students and the positive atmosphere and culture that exists here. In saying that, it is now time to also engage in a physical transformation of the school, so that to a point, our exterior and physical sounds will be a reflection of the great things happening inside of our school.

We are not striving to be a big school. We are striving to be a healthy school. PCS should be a place where our students enjoy coming each day, where they feel challenged, supported and inspired to be the best version of themselves. No one is made by accident, God has a plan and a purpose for all of us and I am just so pleased that we have the chance to partner with you to see that in action.

Any great transformation will start from the inside. So as you notice the external changes continue, please know that what happens in our classrooms will always be our number one priority. It’s an exciting time for PCS as we continue to make this a place you can be proud of, inside and out.

Have a great week!

Glen
