Our annual athletics carnival was a huge success last Friday. Held in beautiful conditions at Northparkes Oval, a record number of students participated in the carnival.
For the first time in a number of years, the carnival was all completed on the day thanks to some logistical tweaking by Mr Ballantyne and Mrs Wilson. We also held qualifying for some of the more time consuming events like high jump and the 1500m at school before the day which helped speed things up.
This means that the carnival winners are all being announced today! Well done to all the champion athletes, Zone qualifiers and the winning house. The Zone carnival is being held early in Term 3; more information for qualifiers will be out in the next two weeks.
A big thank you to all the staff and students who participated and ran events, and of course to the wonderful parents and P&F who ran the canteen and supported the carnival.
