Each week, Year 3 looks forward to Monday afternoons with Mrs King for their creative arts lessons. This term they have focussed on painting and drawing.
Students are learning how the size and placement of objects they draw create the foreground and background in a picture.
Students spent a couple of weeks learning how to draw a tiger by studying pictures of real life tigers as well as other artists work. When they had the basic features of tigers well in hand, they drew a very large tiger based on their study of tigers.
The next stage was to add colour. Students had fun using our tempera paints to create bright and vibrant colours to really make their artworks stand out.
