Welcome back to Term 2 PCS! It was great to have the students back with smiling faces ready for a great first week of school. In the midst of a new term we had another eight new students start across primary and high school classes! Make sure you say hello to any new families you see around the school and show them what a friendly bunch our parent community is!
If you drove to school at all this week you will have noticed some big changes. Our fence has finally been constructed along the length of the property, and the signage is partly completed. At the back of the carpark you will have noticed construction of our new Industrial Arts Centre is finally underway! We are attempting to keep disruptions to school traffic to a minimum, however I apologise for any inconvenience with potential truck movements etc. Please drive carefully during this construction phase as there will be plenty of extra vehicles and people floating about. Construction of the roof over our basketball court and resurfacing is set to begin in the next week or so. We can’t wait to have it all finished.
As I see the current changes occurring, I am reminded again of God’s faithfulness to this school. In our nearly 40 year history there have been plenty of challenges, however the one constant has been God’s provision and dedicated people. All the wonderful staff, students and families who have been part of this school in past decades have all helped set the platform for this current season. So to our current families, staff and students, thank you for being part of this great school. Know that you are part of something bigger than all of us. We are here for our students, and I know that as we work together over this next season, they will be the ones who surely reap the benefits along with generations to come.
Have a great week PCS!
