It has been so amazing to have Year 3 all back together again. We have missed working and playing together. I think they have especially missed Speckles, our class bird who comes out each day to read our class novel Funny Kid by Matt Stanton. We love a good laugh in the morning!
Reading and writing for enjoyment has been a big focus in our class and we are looking forward to the return of our buddy reading with Mrs Horsington’s year 9/10 English class later this term. The creative juices are flowing and we are loving making up silly stories on just about everything.
The start of a new term brings new topics and the class is truly enjoying the hands-on aspects of science as we learn about forces through our balloon powered car designs. Working as a team the class is learning how to apply their knowledge to create the most efficient car design and then evaluating their results and considering modifications to make improvements.
